• Conduct mock surveys or self-assessments to identify areas of potential non-compliance or vulnerabilities in your organization's operations. Mock surveys can be performed by internal teams or external consultants with expertise in accreditation standards.

• Quality of Life and Resident Rights: Create a comfortable and home-like atmosphere within the nursing home. Encourage social interaction, activities, and engagement to enhance the quality of life for residents.

• Ensure compliance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines with a thorough comprehensive program that includes a hand hygiene policy. 

A fire plan should consist of:

2.  Alarm transmission to the fire department

4.  Fire isolation

5.  Immediate area evacuation

6.  Smoke compartment evacuation

7.  Evacuation preparedness from building and floors

8.  Fire extinguishment
